As a veteran hotelier, Ms. Tan has served in important leadership positions in hotels under Grand Hyatt, Shangri-La, InterContinental, Marriott, Hilton, and Marco Polo, accumulating rich experience in hotel positioning, business development and marketing, revenue management, and F&B operations, and proficient in hotel operation management and strategic development. Her professional journey spans from Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, to Sanya, Chongli, Tianjin, from South China to North China, Ms. Tan is well-versed in the pulse of both domestic and international markets, and can adapt perfectly to development and changes in the hotel industry. With her excellent leadership and market control, she has successfully achieved significant gains in guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction and operating revenue, and won numerous industry accolades including "Forbes Recommended Hotel", "Destin Asian’s Top 10 Hotels in Hong Kong", "Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice Award", and also led the hotel to smoothly handle 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympic accommodation multiple times, winning the honorific title of "Advanced Collective" from the province, and receiving over 1,200 thank-you letters from guests.
Born in Malaysia, Ms. Tan holds an Advanced Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Alto in Finland. In addition to fluency in English and Mandarin, she is also proficient in Cantonese and Malay. Ms. Tan is also a black belt in taekwondo and an ultra-marathon runner.
